A / Why we dive this way

Why we dive this way

We cap our boats at eight because a guide cannot look after more people than that underwater and still show them anything worth seeing.

We plan conservatively, we turn dives around when the water says so, and we would rather cancel a trip than run it badly. Most of our divers come back, which we think is the point.

B / Principles

Principles

Conditions First

01

Sites are chosen the evening before from the forecast, tide and visibility reports.

Conservative Profiles

02

Computer-based dives, generous safety stops, and the deeper dive always first.

Small Ratios

03

Eight divers per boat, four per guide, fewer on deep and wreck dives.

Maintained Equipment

04

Rental gear is serviced on a schedule and inspected after every use.

Leave No Trace

05

Mooring buoys only, no gloves on the reef, and nothing taken but photographs.
